Think Spring, Think Leura! 2025

Winter is traditionally a quiet time for gardeners, but in the world heritage listed Blue Mountains a group of dedicated garden owners are already preparing their beautiful gardens to take part in this year’s Leura Gardens Festival. Spring is the perfect time to visit the Blue Mountains and what better way to enjoy spring than to visit the beautiful cool-climate gardens of Leura, so close to Sydney.

With a total of eight magical gardens to visit, comprising  of three new, Komorebi, Carramar and Westholme, and five returning old-favourites, The Braes, Allawah, Leuralla, Ewanrigg, and Hill Of Grace, this year’s Leura Gardens Festival is definitely bigger and better than ever. Gardeners looking for inspiration or just wanting to experience the beauty of spring in the Upper Blue Mountains, will  be treated to  glorious cool climate spring gardens, showcasing a particularly wide range of styles and sizes, of new growth, masses of flowers, gorgeous bulbs like tulips, bluebells, and peonies, as well as an amazing variety of plants  such as dazzling rhododendrons, azaleas, and including wonderful cool-climate deciduous trees  such as maples, dogwoods and ornamental cherries which will just be coming into their full glory.

The 2025 Leura Gardens Festival, will be open  from 3-6 October, 9.30am -4.30pm. It will  feature 8 beautiful spring gardens for the price of $ 40 per person to visit all gardens, or $ 20 to visit three gardens, or $10 per individual garden. Tickets will be available on the festival website from August 1, 2025. All tickets are valid for the duration of the festival. Money raised helps support the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital and local health related organizations. The circuit lasts approx. 20 minutes. An all-day ticket being $15.

Please note that there are no toilets in the private gardens in this year's Festival.

However, the hop-on and hop-off bus routes to all the gardens include stops at the following toilet and café amenities: Leura station, Leura village (toilets in Woolworths Carpark), and many cafes around the village, Leuralla Garden, Gordon Falls Reserve, Leura Gardens Resort, opposite the Golf Course, the Fairmont Hotel and next to the bottom gate of The Braes. There will also be a coffee van outside the main gate of The Braes. A bus will shuttle between Leura station and Wentworth Falls where it will stop at Wentworth Falls Lake toilets, Wentworth Falls station and the village where there will be toilets and cafes.

We ask all visitors to make use of all the amenities available on these stops. For visitors’ convenience, a combined garden and shuttle bus ticket or only a bus ticket or only a garden ticket can be purchased online. As well, a bus ticket can be purchased on the bus and garden tickets can be purchased at each garden.Information is available on this website or call 0400 651 791.

AUTUMN OPEN DAY 2025

We were delighted to welcome more than 600 visitors (as well as 100s of children who came with their families) to The Braes on a spectacular autumn day on Sunday 14th April.

Funds raised on the day will enable us to make a donation to the Blue Mountains Anzac Memorial Hospital and to Greystanes Disability Services.

Our thanks to the owners, Margot and John Egan, for their ongoing (amazing) support of the Festival and to the volunteers who made the day so enjoyable.

SPRING FESTIVAL 2024

We are delighted to let you know that the 2024 Festival was resoundingly successful!

More than 7,300 tickets were sold (not to mention the large number of children who came with their families and are free under 16).

More than 21,000 visits were made to the gardens.

Gross takings were $177,000 and, after deductions for net expenses and working capital for the 2025 Festival, $120,000 will be available to donate to the Blue Mountains ANZAC Memorial Hospital and other local health-related organisations.

A big thank you to Dave Tunks of Tunks Landscape and Building Supplies for moving and installing the ticket sheds at each Festival garden and at HQ in the rain!
